Tajinderpal Singh Toor Wins Asian Games Silver, Dedicates Medal to Infant Daughter
Indian athlete Tajinderpal Singh Toor won a silver medal in the shot put event at the 2026 Asian Games in Japan. Although he hoped to win gold for the third time in a row, he was happy with his achievement and dedicated the medal to his 10-month-old daughter, Rabab Kaur Toor.
Toor threw the shot put 20.64 metres and won the silver medal. Iran’s Mohammadreza Tayebise won gold with a throw of 20.81 metres, while Saudi Arabia’s Mohammed Tolu won bronze with 20.48 metres. Toor had won gold medals at the 2018 and 2022 Asian Games. He hoped to win gold again, but this time he finished second. Still, he made India proud by winning his third medal in a row at the Asian Games.

Richest MLA in Maharashtra Goes Undercover as a Beggar
A wealthy MLA from Maharashtra turned out to surprise many individuals by dressing up as a beggar, and spending more than three hours on the streets of Mumbai. The MLA, Parag Shah, took up this getup to understand how people turn out to treat someone who has no money or social status.
The MLA also said that he took this unusual step, after his Jain spiritual guru suggested him to experience life through a different perspective. Shah then decided to dress up as a beggar and wore old clothes, and went around Ghatkopar, asking people for food and their behaviour towards him. During his time outside, he visited a railway station, a bridge and nearby streets. He also approached a food distribution centre and a samosa seller. Some people offered him food, even though they did not know who he really was. Surprisingly, even the security guard at his own office did not recognise him.
Shah said the experience taught him about kindness, humility and the struggles of people who have very little. He also realised that people may behave differently towards someone depending on their appearance and financial status.

An Open Drain Took a Young Life — Jasola Mourns a 15-Year-Old”
A 15 year old boy lost his life after falling in an open drain in Jasola. His father spent three days searching for him. A 15-year-old boy, studying in Class 8, went missing around 11am on Saturday, after allegedly falling into an open drain in Delhi's Jasola while chasing a kite. This incident has turned out to trigger a multi-agency search raising concern over exposed drains in Delhi.
According to police, Mithun fell into the open drain while he was trying to catch a kite. Another boy who witnessed the entire incident immediately informed the family, and the other authorities related to it.

Bengaluru Engineer Loses Rs 1.94 Crore After Clicking on ‘Quantum AI’ Trading Ad
A 47-year-old software engineer in Bengaluru allegedly lost nearly Rs 1.94 crore after being lured into an online investment scam advertised on Facebook. The scam promoted a trading scheme called “Quantum AI” and persuaded him to invest through a platform named Proxtrend.
According to the police complaint, the engineer first saw the advertisement in February 2026. After clicking on it, he was contacted by someone claiming to be a trading account manager who guided him through the investment process.
The engineer reportedly transferred a total of Rs 1,94,68,235 between February 27 and September 9, hoping to earn profits from trading.
When he later tried to withdraw a larger amount, he allegedly faced repeated delays and was encouraged to invest more money instead. He was also reportedly told that additional payments were needed to release his funds. The engineer eventually approached the police. A case was registered at Bengaluru's East CEN police station on September 17, on charges including cheating, identity theft and impersonation. The investigation is ongoing.

Bengaluru Cab Driver Accused of Harassing 18-Year-Old Passenger During Late-Night Ride
An 18-year-old student in Bengaluru has accused a cab driver of inappropriate behaviour during a late-night journey near Doddakallasandra.
According to the complaint, the student fell asleep during the ride. She later alleged that the driver touched her and tried to kiss her. When she tried to get out of the cab, she alleged that the doors were locked and the vehicle continued moving.
The woman then raised an alarm and screamed, after which the driver reportedly stopped and allowed her to leave. Her luggage was left in the cab and was later returned.
Konanakunte police registered a case under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and began investigating the allegations. The accused is entitled to due process, and the allegations have not been established by a court.

A Mother's Courage: Woman Risks Her Life to Save Family Trapped in Pond
A 38 year old woman identified at Surta Parmar bravely saved a 11 month old baby and the family, after their car fell into nearly 10-foot-deep pond in Rajasthan's Dungarpur district. Their family was reportedly travelling from Dungarpur to Banswara to attend a wedding, and their car hit the divider and lost control and plunged into the pond. Surta Parmar then heard the baby cries and immediately jumped into the pond to save her and the family. The family was rushed to the hospital. The baby was treated and later discharged, while the parents suffered fractures and needed further treatment. Later, all of them were reported to be out of danger.

“47 KM, ZERO CHECKS: A Minor’s Nightmare on a Moving Bus”**
A disturbing incident in Delhi NCR has turned out to raise fresh concern about the safety of the women, as well as the minors in the public transport.
A 16 year old girl and class 11 student from uttarpradesh, boarded a sleeper bus near Pari Chowk, Greater Noida on 4th August due to heavy rain. She was offered a lift by the driver and conductor towards Noida.
The police officers alleged that the girl was assaulted inside this moving bus, during it's journey towards Delhi. The bus travelled for 47 kilometres, before she was abandoned near to the Kashmere gate. Both the driver and conductor have been arrested, and the bus has been for forensic examination.

A man who once earned just Rs 45 a day has now made a name for himself in the film industry. Santosh Davakhar, the director of the Marathi film Gondhal, has an inspiring story of struggle, hard work and determination. Santosh Davakhar faced many difficulties during his early life. At the age of 14, he started working 12-hour shifts and earned only Rs 45 a day. He worked hard to support his family while continuing his education.

Neeru Dhanda has shown that determination and hard work can help a person overcome even the toughest challenges. The Indian trap shooter won a historic gold medal at the 2026 Asian Games, making her achievement even more special because of the difficulties she faced before the competition.
Just a few weeks before the Games, Neeru was seriously unwell and spent three days in hospital. She was unable to eat properly for several days and could not train for about three-and-a-half weeks. Despite this setback, she continued to prepare herself mentally for the competition. With the support of her coach Mansher Singh, Neeru returned to training and focused on her goal. When she reached the Asian Games, she performed brilliantly despite difficult weather conditions.
In the final, Neeru hit 28 out of 30 targets, setting an Asian Games record and winning the gold medal. Her victory also made her the first Indian woman to win an individual Asian Games gold in trap shooting.

"A Tragic Loss: 7-Year-Old Student Dies After Collapsing in Classroom Amid Nearby DJ Procession"
On September 21, 2026 A tragic incident took place at Divine Public School in Balrampur, Uttar Pradesh. A seven-year-old girl identified as Vaishnavi Tiwari, Class 2 student, suddenly fell ill and collapsed inside her classroom.
According to the reports there was an Ganesh immersion procession happening around the school at 11.am, and loud DJ music was being played during the procession. And it was during this specific period of time vaishanavi started feeling uncomfortable, while sitting in the classroom. She tried getting up but suddenly collapsed.
The school authorities immediately took her to the hospital nearby, however the doctor's declared her to be dead. CCTV footage reportedly captured the incident and showed the students reacting as Vaishnavi lost consciousness.

Buried for Three Days, Rescued Alive: A Ray of Hope in Nepal
6 year old girl identified as Manisha Magar was rescued from the Timure village in Rasuwa district, Nepal, after being trapped beneath the mud for 60 hours following the floods and landslides.
While searching the wreckage on August 28, the team of Nepal Armed police force heard the sound of a crying child beneath the debris. The rescuer's then carefully dug through the mud and dug manisha alive. Most of her body was buried, and it just the head that was not covered due to the wooden piece there. She was immediately given first aid, and as her condition detoriated, she was immediately airlifted to Kathmandu for treatment. Her parents were also located happily and are currently receiving treatment. A remarkable survival story that shows how courage, teamwork and never giving up can save lives even in the most devastating circumstances.
